Today wasn't too, too bad. Today I... 1. Found out I don't have to go to Portland on Monday - hallelujah. 2. Found out I'm getting free Terrace Box seats for Sting & Annie Lennox at the Hollywood Bowl next week. - Thank you, Yahoo!. 3. Got a promotion 4. Drank a bottle of wine and had a fantastic dinner of breakfast quesadillas at Doughboys So, now I'm going to sleep and wake up and work from home on Wednesday. And, by work from home, I mean slip in some work in between picking up my jeans, going to lunch and getting a facial. Zzzzzzzzz..... Sunday, September 19, 2004
During awards shows, I root for my favorites as if they were members of my own family.... which, in a sort of sick, mental way - to me, they are. Biggest congratulations to... Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie Jeffrey Wright for Angels in America. Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie Mary-Louise Parker for Angels in America. (One of THE most amazing television and movie actresses. Eat your heart out Billy Crudup.) Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series Allison Janney (Her voice alone is beautifully luring, but she is a six-foot beauty who is engaged to be married at the end of this year.) Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie Meryl Streep (From Angels in America to The Manchurian Candidate, to Out of Africa, to One True Thing, to She-Devil... this woman is one of the single most talented people I have ever seen.) And of course... Outstanding Miniseries Angels in America (Winning 11 Emmys, this is one of the single most AMAZING pieces I have ever seen performed on stage or screen. It was just released on DVD on September 14th. If you have yet to see this Pulitzer Prize winning event, BUY IT NOW.)
