Calm to my Chaos

God bless booze as a coping mechanism.

Colin and I made the decision to dine at The Belmont this evening. After the company of Norm McDonald, Michael Vartan, and Brian Bowman (Colin's stylist) and his British girlfriend, Anna, we were good to go.

I met up with Robert at The Abbey afterward. I spent about three beers and a shot helping to seal the heart of this beautiful bartender, Cristin, for Robert. As Adolfo would say, "In this moment" I hope Robert is walking her home. She and I have a date tomorrow night to go to Robert's bar and say, 'Hi.'

So, yeah, basically what it comes down to is that I'm fucked up. Thank God.

A good night to all.

The coversation just had between Julia and I:

Brian: "If the movie starts at seven, we should get there around six. So, we should leave in a few minutes."

Julia: "OK. Are you going to put on a shirt?"

Brian: "No, actually, I was going to go to the movies just like this."

Julia: "OK. Should I take off my pants?"

God bless good weather and shopping.

After knocking back some enchiladas and two pitchers of "Kick Ass Margaritas" at Marix last night with Zach, I was just a little slow on the uptake this morning. But, considering I was literally at home in bed before 11:00pm, it wasn't anything a couple of advil couldn't fix.

I joined Robert and a friend of his for lunch at Doughboys and afterward, the beautiful 72 degree Los Angeles weather motivated me to partake in some retail therapy.

I hit Robertson to pick up some t-shirts at the best t-shirt store ever, American Apparel. This place bills itself as the most passionate knit garment manufacturer in the world. If that's the case, then consider me the most passionate knit garment consumer in the world. I encourage anyone who loves a good t-shirt, jeans and flip-flops uniform as much as I do to hit up this online store right now.

While shopping I stopped into another favorite eatery, Newsroom and actually had a C-list celebrity spotting. Jonathan Antin of my new favorite show, BLOW OUT. While he is definitely an attractive man, let's just say that the television is kind to him and leave it at that.

So, Julia and I are off to battle the hordes for a viewing of Fahrenheit 9/11 this evening.

To recap:

Beautiful Weather + Lunch + Shopping + Movie = The perfect L.A. day
