Typically, I am not a fan of rain. Being a bit of a control freak as I am, I don't like anything that impedes the possibility of engaging in any activity I might possibly conjure. But, I've relinquished myself to the rain. Tonight, Los Angeles has become blanketed in the most cleansing rain. It's been raining for hours now. I like the feeling of reassurement created by the steady tempo of the downpoor. No lightning. No thunder. Just rain. An amazing, delicious-smelling rain...

I'm back, kids. However, I think I'm only going to be back long enough to pack my bags and return to the Virgin Islands for good.

I'm blistered by the sun, four hours ahead of West Coast time, and I have to go in and give notice at my job today. Should prove thrilling.
