Calm to my Chaos

We watched a 70+ year old woman unknowingly eat a pot brownie tonight. We later received a call saying she began hallucinating at home and called an ambulance. Someone please save me a seat in hell.

In addition, I realized midway through the evening that our New Year's waitress, in fact, went to day care with me.

But, on the bright side, exchanged "Happy New Years" drunk dials with Koo and Hooch (at Temple Bar in Santa Monica). Hooch said the only thing that could make it better was if Bubba & I were there. Thanks.

Happy New Year to all!

Been in Austin since yesterday and have managed to rack up visits to a decent amount of the usual Austin "musts"...

First stop was a late lunch at Kerbey Lane. The evening included drinks over heavenly salsa at Hula Hutwith Sarah, Amber, Amy and Terri, then meeting Robert and the rest of the gang out for drinks and hip-hop at Red Fez.

Terri and I started off a pretty productive day by joining Sarah and Amber for lunch at Austin's best noodle bowls at Kim Phung. After that, Terri and I marathoned it with card shopping at Cities and Sparks. Window shopping for hot fashion at By George, perusing the overflowing bins of music at Waterloo Records and browing the books at periodicals at Book People. We left 6th & Lamar with one last top at the destination that is Central Market to stock up on hippy snacks like dried cranberries, Good-Flo Orange Juice and Jimmy's cookies.

Tonight's bit of drinking started off by meeting the gang at B-Side Bar with mojitos at Saba. Dropped Sarah and Terri off and headed back downtown to join Amber and Amy in a visit to Robert at work, only to find out he'd called in sick. So, we got our dance on to a little Missy Elliot and J-Lo and bailed.

Back at Chris' apartment now, about to head off to slumber for the night. Hanging with Steven tomorrow and beginning New Year's Festivities at Amber's Dad's place. Wednesday, it's back to the West Coast.
